Wilsons dog food branding and packaging design was created to add a new product to the range. Established in 1861, Wilsons Pet Food is one of Scotland’s oldest pet food suppliers. The brief from Wilsons was to revitalise the range of products, and inject new life in the old name. This process started with the Cold Pressed Range. The result is a very colourful and contemporary series of bags. In a highly competitive market, Wilsons needed to punch on the shelf. The design uses naive illustrations incorporating british landscapes, and simple features and figures. The result is a sharply intense impact of colour, with a clean layout and subtle use of typography.
